Windows 10 can't connect to the regular server.
There's the "classic" Java version of Mojang and the Windows 10 version of Microsoft. For the Windows version, there are virtually no mods / add-ons, but it looks a bit better graphically
If, then buy the normal Java version from the official website. There's still in the Win 10 Store a Windows 10 Edition, but this is only a disguised console version without mod and server support and thus worthless.
