How much RAM for Minecraft servers? 8 players and up to 10 plugins?

Yes it says above, and I know that MCHost24 is not good, does anyone know of cheap alternatives? Will not spend more than 10 euro, would still have 4 euro above at MCHost24.

Em

Depending on the version, 4gb would recommend 2 but could also be enough

ho

Nitrado. 8 slots, performance upgrade to 2 GB and 30 days of payment. Are exactly 10 euro.

Nitrado is not bad, just expensive.

Aternos.org

It's free and works very well

kn

I would probably take 1.12.2, but probably 1.14.4

kn

Sounds good, is that prepaid or a contract?

kn

I would like to have a server that runs all the time, and you can't take all the plugins you want from Aternos. I would like to have a payment server

Em

Prepaid otherwise look at Host unlimited, they are even cheaper and also good

kn

OK thanks

ho

Prepaid. If you can't (directly) pay, the server simply runs out. But still, I think 7 days until the server is finally deleted.

kn

Thank you

Ti

I would look at nitrado, nitrado has a good price but the operation is very good as the only thing you need is filezilla to open the plugin folder and co. You first have to upload money and then you can set in the settings whether the automatic renewal should be present.

For payment servers, for example, Nitrado works

Uh 1.14.4 needs an incredible amount of ram. I would have been with 10gb RAM without plugins. At 15 still. Only at 20 did 8 players play at the same time. With the same number of players, from 1.8.9 500Mb to 1Gb would be enough. The new Spigot versions need a lot of ram

Ca

If you want to spend an incredible amount of money on functioning but little performance ok

Em

More RAM is counterproductive in this case because the garbage collector takes longer the more RAM you assign, which can result in heavy tps drops, but yes 1.14 definitely needs more

Ca

You are right, but 10GB were not enough for me and only ran smoothly at 20 GB
