I would like to reach the boarders in my MC 1.15.2 Vanilla Map, without hacks and cheats / GM1. Now I just started running so that the needle of the compass points exactly to the back.
I have a couple of questions:
Is that possible? Just run and jump, or does it take years?
Do I even run straight to the boarders when the needle points backwards?
Do you have tips on how to do it faster?
Do you have any ideas what I could do when I'm there?

I think there are about 3000000 (3MIO) blocks to the border. Running or flying takes too long. You can download a speed hack if you really want to
The border is almost 30 million blocks from the 0.0 coordinates. Have fun and run a stopwatch for a minute and then see how many blocks you ran. This is an approximate estimate.
In fact, someone has already calculated this and, according to Google, you need about eleven and a half weeks, i.e. Over 80 days and 10 hours. If you want to do this "really" without cheats (why actually?) You also need food, equipment, (protection, boats) etc.
If you are "there", you can't do anything. Then there's an invisible wall behind which the chunk generation becomes very strange. I don't really see any reason to sacrifice 80 days for something like that…

Take an elytra, missiles, and a blanket. Simply fly with the elytra over the nether blanket.
