Move entire minecraft folder?

I have 2 SSDs on my PC, one of which is already quite full and that's why I wonder how I can move all the data from the game

El

You will not be able to move the main game data directory ".minecraft" in the Appdata directory. But you can copy the stored worlds out and store them somewhere else. In the launcher you only have to change the path of the installations. If you want to get rid of unnecessary installations, completely empty the .Minecraft folder. It will be refilled including configs ect… The eig launcher is somewhere else again.

It could be (but I've never looked) that there's also a path specification for the main files in the .minecraft directory… But I'm just overwhelmed.

Nope, you can't do that with minecraft

Describes how the path can be redirected virtually… So the whole .minecraft can be moved…

You have to go into the appropriate drive. There's then a folder on the drive, which in this case will be called Minecraft. Click on the folder on the right and then move to… Click. Now just select the right drive and you're done.

Actually already?

Ty

What do I then have to do so that the launcher also recognizes it?

Da

KA what kind of joke the others write.

In the minecraft launcher in the profile settings you can change the "game directory"

But you shouldn't forget to do this for the other profiles as well.

After you have started minecraft once, you can then take over the data such as worlds, texture packages and your options.txt

In order for the launcher to recognize this, you have to drag the launcher file into the same drive or change the read path of the launcher, you can do this through the advanced properties.
