Whenever I try to download something in Google Chrome, it is automatically downloaded via Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, the problem with Explorer is that the files do not work properly. E.g. I've just tried to install Forge (1.16.3) for Minecraft but unfortunately I can't open it because there are always problems with Explorer, (that triggers me extremely) Thanks in advance.

You click the download in Chrome and then Internet Explorer (or Edge?) Opens automatically, or how can you understand the problem?
What if the file is not executed in Internet Explorer, but only downloaded and started manually?
So when I'm in Chrome then it should be downloaded via Chrome and the downloads via Explorer just don't work
Unfortunately, that doesn't answer my question.
