How do you install an optifine shader?

I would like to install a Minecraft shader (optifine) on windows 10, but unfortunately I have no idea how to do it and need detailed instructions.

There's no Optifine for the Windows 10 edition of Minecraft, only for the Java edition.

Just download Labymod (there's also optifine) and Labymod use many large YT. Once you have done that you can download all the shaders etc.

First of all you go to this page: https://www.optifine.net/home

Then you go to "Downloads". Then you just download the version you need. You first come across advertising. DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING, but wait until you can skip the advertisements in the top right. Then you download it. Now you can close the website.

Now you open the file, then the installer will open for you. Then you click on "Install". Then a confirmation message should appear. Now you have installed Optifine. Now you will also see the "Optifine" profile in Minecraft Launcher, which you can use to play on Optifine.

You download this and put it in your .minecraft folder in the "Shader" folder that has now been created by Optifine. Now, when playing with the Optifine profile, you can select the shader under Options.
