I'm currently using Aternos for my server, but it's really annoying to have to start it up every time someone wants to play. Do you know any other providers that provide free servers that are always online? I have already looked at MC4U, but at least 2 players have to be online every day so that it is not deleted, which is too big a risk for me, as we're not a large group and not everyone can always play.
Servers cost something. Free servers are always filth. But there are good ones for 5 euro a month.
Host it yourself and the server is online whenever you want + free (excluding electricity)
It's always best because you can assign Ram yourself

But you can get a really really good server from 15 euro a month.
You can usually not find anything reasonable for free. For about 5 euro you can get a good self-hosting MC server.
