I get kicked by the online Minecraft server all the time. Why is that?

I've been playing Minecraft with a few friends again for a few days and I'm regularly kicked off the server. The message is: "Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: Badly compressed packet - size of 43 is below server threshold of 256"

I have already uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft. Restarted several times. Even restarted router. Does anyone know why this is?
