At 8gb ram VPS minecraft?

Moin want to ask if I have NEN 8gb ram vps server, I can then assign 8 GB minecraft server or rather 6gb?

The answer will change depending on the operating system selected for the server. However, a Linux distribution should use less RAM than a Windows server.

For a Linux distribution, I would first reserve 7 GB for the game server and see how much RAM is left unused during normal operation.

Then run other things on the server, then just deduct a lot of RAM from the Minecraft server.
