I have a Debian server only with a Minecraft server and TeamSpeak3 server, no important files, passwords, etc.
is it safe the ports for:
Minecraft: 25565
TeamSpeak All Ports (Google TS3 Ports)
SSH port for access: 22
FTP ports for file transfer: 20-21
can be opened with a DynDNS without other devices in the network being attacked or anything else (only the Debian server has FTP, SSH)
Looking forward to your answers
If you manage to open these ports only for this server, i.e. For the internal ip of this server, everything should be OK.
Everything ok, except for FTP. You should never use FTP over the Internet, it is completely unencrypted. You can simply use SFTP via the SSH server.
First of all thank you for your question. We know that 100% security can't be guaranteed in any area at any time. The further you open yourself to the outside, the more vulnerable you will become.
I think that attacks on standard sports are part of all kinds of attacks today. It will be interesting if you would, if possible, use other, unreserved ports externally. Another hurdle could then be to work with any random ports in the internal network.
Reason: as written above, I assume that standard attacks will of course be used in the event of possible attacks. They are not called that for a reason. Of course you can scan all ports and in the end no system is secure 😉 but I think that you should work better with ports> 1024 when releasing ports externally.
And of course, the more ports are open, the more vulnerable your entire system will be.
Is already.
