Difference of Bungeecord, Velocity and Bedrock Minecraft servers?

I own a Minecraft server network and I wonder where the difference between Bungeecord, Velocity and Bedrock is. I just do not understand. What is the difference between these species?

BungeeCord: Connects multiple Minecraft servers (subserver - spigot). Only accessible with the Java version.
Bedrock: Server for Windows 10 and Pocket Edition.
Velocity: Works as far as I know with mods (eg Forge).

I prefer BungeeCord.
