Whenever I join a server, no matter which one, I get kicked after a certain time, often less than 5 minutes, for various reasons, e.g. Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: java.lang.RuntimeException: VarInt too big or Internal Exception: io.netty.codec.DecoderException: Badly compressed packet - -size of 95 is below server threshold of 256 …
In the beginning it was bearable, but now it gets annoying. I've done a lot of research, but I can't find out why. I often got solutions like: restart router, restart PC, reinstall / restart Minecraft, see if Java is up to date, watch.
Nothing can be seen in the Minecraft game output (the log).
Could anyone help me, please.
Do times in the cmd ping -n 50 1.1.1.1 and post the result
Answer from 1.1.1.1: bytes = 32 time = 17ms TTL = 58
The time was always between 15ms and 30ms
What happens if you have the. In your server.properties
network compression threshold
set to 0?
If the kicks continue try to set it to "-1", if that doesn't work, to "512"
That would be my first approach to this error message…
I would have liked to see the summary 😉
How do you mean summary?
How do I get my Server.properties?
When the command has run through, there's a summary at the end
Oh well, okay.
Ping statistics for 1.1.1.1:
Packets: Sent = 50, Received = 50, Lost = 0
(0% loss),
Approx. Times in milliseconds:
Minimum = 15ms, maximum = 351ms, mean value = 25ms
Do a speed test on nperf.com and post the result
How exactly should I post the result?
Oh okay, I found it: https://www.nperf.com/r/3294723555003823-PSZfuqru
Do you already have an idea what to do about it?
This is the file in the root directory of the server…
how much do you know about it?
In the file you also set the slot number, etc.
So does the owner of the server have to do this?
I know nothing about it myself.
No, you. From your Minecraft launcher.
That from the server would be optional.
Did you fix your problem?
did you fix it?
