So I need a proxy server, a lobby and 4-6 sub-servers.

Now I have a few questions;

1.) So one Dev said 4GB RAM total was enough, but is that really enough?

2.) How much RAM should I then assign to the individual servers?

3.) How much hard disk space will I need?

4.) What is the difference between Linux and Windows Rootserver?

Wo

You need 4 cores (~ 3.4ghz or higher)

At least 8GB RAM

Windows takes away RAM, Linux is more efficient

With Windows, however, you have a simple UI.

Hard disk space should be enough from about 30GB

Dr

1) It depends. Player. Plugins. Mods. Etc.

2) Maximum. The server then takes what it needs

3) 20-40GB. Without backups

4) One is Linux, the other Windows
Windows needs more power and is usually also significantly more expensive
The Linux server will probably only have a command line. Enough too.

kn

So what should I buy now?

kn

I guess there will be around 20-30 plugins on a server, many of which are smaller, players will never be more than 10 at the same time Is this command line difficult in contrast to windows?

Dr

Do you have discord Then we can communicate a little more comfortably.

kn

Yes, but you are not allowed to pass on any communication options via good question, that's why you were warned

Dr

Have a friend request, otherwise you can't write to anyone here

kn

OK

Om

Linux vServer / Root Server.
