Can I downgrade DirectX12?

I have an older graphics card (Geforce GTS 250) that supports DirectX10, but not 12 and games like Minecraft only have 12-20 FPS, on Windows7 I had 200FPS. Now the question arises whether I can downgrade DirectX12?

Minecraft doesn't even use any kind of Direct X but OpenGL.
