Graphics card doesn't support OpenGL?

My graphics card [Intel (R) Q45 / Q43 Express Chipset (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1)]

doesn't support OpenGL and so I can't play Minecraft. Windows auto-update does not work, updates are no longer offered on intel.com. When I had Windows 7, minecraft was still running.

Try to start the exe with a different compatibility mode, but for Window 7, it makes absolutely no sense if the same component is started with a different operating system and the same game is started, which causes problems.

What does it mean to start with a different compatibility? Am a PC noob xD

Right click on the icon - Properties - 3 tab is compatibility and in the box Activate and select Windows 7 also run as Admin, Apply and Ok. Try it

This is an old thread but for those who still have this problem, Q45/Q43 does not support Windows 10, only Windows 8 below thats why you keep getting OpenGL Errors.

Here are your options to keep playing minecraft with Q45/Q43 Use a virtual machine on an older windows version Downgrade to an older windows version Get an actual gpu rather than relying on an integrated one
