Difference Minecraft Switch version?

I have a Nintendo Switch. For this my son bought the game Minecraft (not online). In the Nintendo shop I could buy texture packages now, but they do not work with the game. These would only work with the Switch Edition of Minecraft.

Since I lack the logic, because the game is indeed for the switch. What is the difference here?

Nintendo does not want to refund the money because it's there. Well as I said I buy a game for the console and you do not go from different Minecraft games.

I think this is the same as the Xbox One edition…

Before the update of Bedrock came out, which enabled the crossplay between the Nintendo switch, Xbox One, Windows 10, and the mobile version, the consoles had the so-called "console editions". When the Bedrock update came out, Xbox released a new Minecraft with the Bedrock engine, and soon after discontinued the Xbox One Edition. With switch I did not find however "Nintendo Switch Edition", but only the Minecraft with the inscription, "Minecraft" (thus the Bedrock version) which probably suggests that that is probably the former Switch edition, but by an update Has been overridden. (Game engines are easier to crack on chips than DVDs and Blurrays, so DAS probably did not work for the One.)

Enter eshop "Minecraft".

Then go to the game.

Who you runterscroolst you see different coin packages. If you buy them, they will be credited in the game.

There's a shop in the game where you can exchange them for texture packages.

The textures packages in the eshop, are only for the older Minecraft console edition, which is no longer available since June 2018.

No, I have minecraft for the switch and it's the same as Pocket Edition

I'm very surprised by what I read. This is very questionable by Nintendo and Mojang (Minecraft). I also bought at release Minecraft for the switch. In June 2018, a new version of Minecraft was automatically downloaded. However, since the new version does not seem to be compatible with the texture packs, Nintendo would have had to do even more. So it should be clear that unnecessary bad purchases arise and I also assume that a court would not see otherwise. It's a pity that nobody ever complains about such matters. ^^

I know. I just mean that exactly THIS version of minecraft has replaced the console version (nintendo switch edition) directly. - I think you have made a bad buy, as far as the packages are concerned…

Ch

Hää why? That's for the switch lol

I have the version, another was not there at all

Hmm… Was my guess right now. But there was another Minecraft for the Nintendo switch, and that was the Nintendo Switch Edition. However, since the release of the Bedrock edition, the Nintendo Switch became unnecessary, and then taken off the store. This is exactly the same with Xbox: since the release of Bedrock, the Xbox One Edition has disappeared from the store. On Amazon you can still buy the disk version.

Here is the Nintendo Switch Edition:

This is the Minecraft game for which the texture packs are meant.

The game is no longer available.
