Intel HD Graphics 5500 defective. Can you save something there?

Yesterday it probably fried my graphics chip during the (minecraft) game… The picture turned towards turquoise, then orange and finally everything was full of graphics artifacts.

After a reboot in safe mode and disable or uninstall the video driver works as far as everything. When booting normally, I either hang in the boot process or have as I said extreme artifacts, which also move independently.

Unfortunately, the problem remains with all previous solutions (driver de-install / reinstall, various updates, …).

Conclusion: Without Intel HD Graphics everything runs, albeit slowly. Is it possible to save on the device (repair?) Or was it the case?

The device is a Lenovo B50-50; Intel Core i5-5200U; 8GB RAM; win10

You could use an external graphics card. Then it's just not a mobile device anymore.

Or just replace the CPU? The Intel HD Graphics should be the integrated GPU.

Well, the laptop is always such a thing.

Fa

CPU and RAM are usually still working - but yes. "Something" fumbling…

Is that a counter question or an answer? I'm just about this possibility… Whether it exists, or not, or whether that would be worth the effort / cost at all.

Fa

CPU would probably have to resort to a used… If you get the cheap, it would be probably. Quite worth a try. - I can guarantee you nothing, however.

Or save something and get a clever box, then it can also be something "more" than Minecraft.

If you believe in the repair yourself, you get a refurbished replacement motherboard including Intel Core i5-5200u (soldered to FCBGA - sockets) including Radeon M5-330 used at about 130 euro on Ebay.

Without the additional Radeon it could possibly be a bit cheaper to get.

Unfortunately, the Intel Core i5-5200u is only available for the soldering base FCBGA.

You can't do much there. There must be a new processor, or since it is a laptop, a new board + processor.

All this is worth it in my opinion not to repair. I would buy a new notebook right there.
