What exactly does the Badlion client bring?
and when is it worth getting it?

If you want to display the following things in-game, such as FPS, CPS, keystrokes, your own crosshair, durability, potion effects etc., you can get the BLC. Only you can know whether it is worthwhile for you. You can try it out. Fortunately, it's free.
I don't use the BLC myself because the features of LabyMod or the NoRisk Client are the same, only that the cosmetics are more realistic and there's an anticheat for BLC.
