I want to know how to find village villages faster or at all in Minecraft. I've tried everything: swim to other islands, build up and look around, walk through the area. I only met a traveling trader once, that's about it

And then write down the coordinates of the surrounding villages and take a look. There's not always a village (or portal 🙃) where one should be according to the plan, but most of the time it is correct.
