Minecraft (mc) with friends playing on tablet?

My friends all play minecraft (mc) on the tablet. I've tried that, and now I want to get it, not for a mobile device, but for my laptop. Can I play with them in one world when they play on the tablet and I play on the laptop?

Only if you:

-The Windows 10 Edition play

-or- run Android version in an emulator (for Linux, I even found a script on Github that sets up MC: PE with full keyboard support)

If you have Windows 10 on your laptop, you can buy Minecraft from the Microsoft Store. You can also play with cell phones, tablets and consoles.
