Change Minecraft backup to creative?

So, I'm playing in a Minecraft Java Edition survival world. I made a copy of the world, which I would like to have in the creative, to tinker with my houses (so that I can see if it wants to do so permanently in the survival). However, I have cheats off in the world and therefore also in the copy. Can I somehow change the copy to creative?

Should go by opening the world in the LAN in the menu - Then you can explicitly cheat again and switch to game mode 1.
