So the java edition for a laptop?
Little. The need is growing with increasing size and number of game worlds, as well as the use of mods, but effectively occupied Minecraft only a few hundred megabytes of memory. The game stays easily under a gigabyte.
Alone the chat logs are with me already over 10 gigabytes.
Minecraft needs about 420 MB.
With a few mods and texture packs let it be a maximum of one GB and that's already generous.
The basic game itself requires about 150MB. A world starts at about 40MB and then gets bigger the more it's loaded. Resource, shader and modpacks then also need storage space.
It may be, but you can delete that, it's just logs.
I have been playing Minecraft for a long time and I have a lot of big worlds but Minecraft has not come to 2GB yet, but 1GB is enough for normal players
