Yes and no. The basic functions are simple, but if you want to do more it just becomes more complex

I would recommend OpenShot https://www.openshot.org/de/. Free software available for Windows, Mac and Linux. Resolutions up to 4k are supported. A YouTube upload function is also integrated so that you can upload your finished project straight away.
