Good arguments against my parents that I can build a PC?

I got an Acer Aspire 5 laptop almost 2 years ago. But it is no longer sufficient for my use and I can no longer even play Minecraft with full resolution at a stable 60FPS (mostly only at around 20-40 FPS), so I wanted / want to screw together a new PC with my buddy. But my parents think that I don't need one and that I should save up for driving school, but I don't want to do a driving school at all because I don't need it at all, at most for leisure or for fun. So I need good arguments to persuade my parents that I can buy / build one. Anyone have ideas?

In the current situation, every student or almost every student needs a notebook. Tell your parents that it is not enough for school etc. And you need a better one.

Unfortunately, the laptop is enough for school stuff as we also have good Wi-Fi…

You could say that there's a good advantage: you and your boyfriend learn something too.

Do you plan to devote your future to this topic?

And doesn't it cost less if you screw it together yourself?

Then of course your parents are absolutely right.

Well somehow a shame that you have a laptop and it is no longer sufficient for you if you had it "only" 2 years and apparently you have been dissatisfied for a long time. De times would have bought a PC in advance.

I mean, you have already listed all the arguments yourself so you have an answer

School, games are cheaper, are quieter, better for the eyes, because better graphics, are grown up and no longer kindergarten, realize dreams, cut videos, save pictures that you take with them (absolutely great)

I wanted a PC from the start but well

Well if your parents didn't even want to give you a pc back then then they won't give you 100% one now. Unless you do something in return, for example helping around the house or something similar.
