Got my new pc but I can't get more than 144 FPS in Minecraft, how can I increase that? My friends have the 2000
Your monitor probably has 144hz = 144fps the maximum that can be displayed. Since your monitor probably also has amd freesync, it limited the fps to a maximum of 144 for the best experience. You can change that in your graphics driver then you would also have 2000 fps which would not help you. You can also deactivate vsinc in Minecraft that should also work. But as I said, it doesn't help.
Many Thanks. So mine is no worse than theirs now?
No, definitely not. You're even better at having your graphics card automatically limit the fps, which makes gaming smoother. Because if the fps are above 144, the pc has to regulate it down again, which can lead to minimal lag.
To the best of my knowledge, FreeSync, GSync, or in general VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) doesn't rely on limiting FPS. The technology also works when there's e.g. 200 FPS are.
It will be the activated VSync in Minecraft.
