No. One vein with 1-8 diamond ore is generated per chunk. There's nothing rare about it. And you don't have to have an opinion for that, these are facts.

What do you mean by vein. And can I take advantage of that to find it faster. I somehow can't find any. Even with 2 gorges there weren't any.
Diamonds are not that rare either. If you follow the coordinates, you can find them quite quickly

Find a cave, dig or keep going down and if you are very deep down, sooner or later you should find diamonds. There are even people who can find diamonds within 1 hour😉

The game generates ores in veins. The ores adjoin one another on at least one side of the block. The game always generates exactly one diamond vein per chunk, at levels 0-16. You won't find diamonds higher than that.

No, you can also just build yourself down and there you will find diamonds in the height. Furthermore these are of course hidden, you have to search ^^
