I'll get straight to the point.
I have uncomfortably low FPS values in various games.
Supposedly I have 16GB RAM, 1 GB "dedicated GPU" and 7.5 GB "shared GPU".
Now I can see in the task manager that my RAM is of course being used, but my GPU is sometimes almost 100% …
Can I somehow increase the "dedicated GPU" to have more power?
Or any other tips on how I can increase my computing power?
(In Minecraft, for example. Despite standard settings, I barely have over 60 FPS, which I don't think does my components justice…)
It would be nice if you would let us know your components. Then one can definitely help you better
Your graphics card seems old and lame if you only have 1gb vram
Would be nice if you had also written what components you have installed
The 1GB memory for a dedicated graphics card sounds too outdated or more like an internal one, which gets the RAM if necessary
Really now? A graphics card with only 1 GB Vram. I'm surprised that current games are playing at all. 1GB VRam, you had in 2009. Today at least 4GB are recommended for FullHD.
The best thing is to pass on your components so that you can get an idea.
I have a dual-core processor ("4 logical cores") "AMD A8-7600 Radeon R7, 10 Compute Cores 4C + 6G"
And two different grakas:
"AMD Radeon R7 200 Series" and
"AMD Radeon (TM) R7 Graphics"
Well not new, maybe 4 to 5 years old, can't you increase the vram when my shared GPU seems so high?

For more performance, you need a better graphics card
Yes that is what I thought
a CPU-GPU combination processor
The "graphics card" squeezes the memory out of the working memory and there's not much around, no matter how much memory it allocates
Even the currently smallest AMD Ryzen 3 processor with an integrated graphics unit will probably have 10 times more power than your station wagon
It's not the best system, but Minecraft should actually be more playable. Minecraft is not even about the graphics card but the processor. Did you install Optifine?
Then everything fits. Honestly, the 2 graphics card is only good for a higher electricity bill. It doesn't do anything. Only graphics card performance is applied. Even if it is an integrated graphic unit, you have zero performance advantage.
And I'm even surprised that you can get the 60 fps with the grinder at all. And I honestly don't mean that bad. But it is a fact. The PC is simply not suitable for gaming. At least not if you want to play new games. Sure, old or very small games can already run.
Yes, such old cards do surprisingly well. I tested a GTX 570 with Just cause 3. The game ran okay with the lowest settings. If you consider that the computer only had 8GB… Just cause 3 eats a lot of RAM. Admittedly, the game didn't want to start at first. You had to manually set the settings in a file.
Yes. But minecraft was just one example. I have, for example. In front. Get me GTA V, and is it enough for about 40 fps?
My suggestion is always to search for your hardware on YouTube and then for the respective game to get an idea of it for yourself
