What should I do with my PC?

I currently have a (fairly) normal PC, but wanted to upgrade it slowly.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to upgrade my PC? It should of course be better afterwards, but it shouldn't be too expensive either (200-max.300 euro).

Current specs:

CPU: AMD A10 6790k GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1050TI Mainboard: Asus A68hm-plus (FM2 (+)) Memory: 100GB + 1TB Ram: 16GB

By the way, I can currently play games like GTA5, Minecraft, Hitman3 and Raft with c.a. Play up to 100Fps. However, my processor always needs up to 1min to load the new cutscenes / chunks.

The graphics card and the other components are good. You could only use a faster memory. And then just swap the processor. Check out which AMD processor fits your motherboard. You'd better get a fairly new one. With that you should easily come under 300 euro and then have a lot for your money.

Unfortunately you don't get far with an FM2+ socket, I currently have one of the top 5 installed with mine (I think 4th place)

pl

As far as I know, there would hardly be anything newer based on FM2+ … You would probably have to change the platform… That means go to Am3 or even better Am4 and then use a processor that doesn't bottleneck the graphics card too much, unless the graphics card is supposed to also be upgraded again at some point

go

I found the graphics card actually quite good and (when it was new) also quite expensive…

pl

Then I would probably recommend a Ryzen 5 1600 (I use a RX 570 myself) and if another upgrade is planned, maybe the 2600 … And then of course you need a suitable motherboard… You can choose something compatible

go

Do you have any recommendations for a suitable but cheap motherboard?

pl

Theoretically, that (https://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/ASRock-AB350M-Pro4-R2-0-AMD-B350-So-AM4-Dual-Channel-DDR4-mATX-Retail_1306629.html) would be enough… But I'll post something again right away, which has a better chipset (in my opinion, especially the better optics) and only costs around 10 euro more…

pl

Though your RAM is DDR3 right?

pl

Then you would also need new (DDR 4) RAM

Ba

In your case, you would upgrade your mainboard and CPU, and accordingly RAM to DDR4 RAM.

Then, if you want and there's money left, you can upgrade the graphics card in peace when the market is back to normal.

But at the moment, a nice B550 motherboard, plus a Ryzen 5 3600 and matching RAM with 16GB and at least 3200MHz.

With that you should be prepared first.

Or

Sorry, then you probably have to change your mainboard which is c.a. Costs 50-100 euro

go

Yes, everything is fine as I said, then I'm ready to spend up to 200 euro on a CPU

pl

First of all, I have an appointment… I'll put something together for you in about an hour

go

Yes, that's right… I have DDR3 Ram, but thank you for helping me so far

go

Can you recommend Ram to me accordingly?

Ba

I have the Patriot Viper steel 3600MHz, I'm very happy with it. Also available with 3200 MHz, but the price difference is not that big. And especially with Ryzen CPUs, faster RAM is better.

Here are a few good ones 😉

pl

To the person who created the question, I will save myself the compilation, the configuration here is good👍🏻

go

Thank you very much

go

Thank you, I just wanted to ask again whether the mainboard / s fit into every case or whether a certain one is needed

pl

It should even be a bit smaller (in height) than your old one

pl

The one linked here is in micro-ATX format… Everything up to ATX that your old one should have should fit

go

I ordered a new one because my old MikroAtX was😂

pl

This too

go

I still ordered a new one: ^) I may

pl

And your old board (I also had it once) should actually have been bigger…

pl

Yes, of course😂 just didn't want to be to blame for a bad buy

sy

Which mainboard have you ordered now, the linked one or another one? This is because this is better equipped in this price range than many more expensive ones.

go

I haven't ordered a mainboard yet. What I have already ordered is the case because my old one was a typical Macro AtX working case…

go

Really? I didn't know, but don't worry, I don't blame you for a bad buy anyway
