I noticed in Minecraft that when I write a command (command block or chat), no matter when, when I enter an a, the entire written command is deleted and there's only an a left. So your Ctrl key may be buggy. How so? Because if you press Ctrl + A, everything is selected and if you then type in something, then the highlighted is removed and there's the letter that you typed, in this case A. It is the same as if you typed Backspace + Ctrl presses, the last word before the cursor is removed. So I think you accidentally hit the Ctrl key or it bugs. So that's 100% because. That with the TAB comes from no idea where, probably also from the Ctrl key. The solution is in bold.
