Minecraft picture totally distorted, what to do?

This is what the picture looks like. There are strongly visible (cross) lines on all blocks, everything is heavily distorted, the picture does not look nice. Is it due to my monitor or MC settings?

Maybe it's because of the range of vision.

I think mipmapping is only available ingame under graphics settings…> Quality…> Mipmap Levels: Maximum, Mipmap Type: Nearest
