It's actually the same for me. I have the same email address and password for my Microsoft and Mojang accounts. I suppose that shouldn't be a problem. In any case, you don't have to buy the game again. Nevertheless, it doesn't hurt if you can prove (just in case) that the purchased account also belongs to you (e.g. By giving the correct name or having an emergency email address for the account).
Probably you will not convert your account into a Microsoft account, but simply link it to the existing one. If there are problems, you can always write to Microsoft / Mojang support. They can certainly help you.
