What does FPS mean in e.g. Minecraft?

Frames per second = frames per second.

Colloquially as liquid and laggfrei the picture is (the higher the number, the better)

As an example, the human eye takes up about 24 FPS. However, only from 30 it is a "fluid" picture for our eye.

FPS has two meanings. I think you mean FPS in the sense of "frames per second" the other meaning is FPS in the sense of "first person shooter"

Unfortunately this is not quite true: The eye takes pictures infinitely every second, but the brain only throws away a large part of it so that it is not overloaded.

Infinite yes? Mhh, sure… I have nachgeogogelt again, either one reads that the eye perceives 24 pictures and aka also processed, or the differentiated version:

The shot of the pictures as well as the processing depends on what we see, it seems that in light over 24 FPS, but we can only handle moving objects with about 14 FPS…
