FPS Drops / Loss?

Hi, I've been gambling on my new PC GTA V for a long time now.

I just did a mission with Trevor when I noticed that I had a constant 45 FPS! Then I changed my mood to Franklin and had about 150FPS in the house and 50-100 FPS outside. (very changing, settings: maximum)

Forza Horizon 4 and Battlefront II (both on MAX Settings) I have with VSync constant 60 FPS without Framedrops and without VSync at about 80 and 120/140 FPS.

My PC:

AMD RYzen 7 1700X 3.5Ghz

ASUS ROG Strix RTX 2070 O8G

2x 8GB Gskill trident Z RGB 3200MHz

Games are installed on the Samsung EVO 850 500GB

Win 10 on Samsung EVO 960 250 GB

Corsair TX850M PSU

NZXT x52 AIO water cooling

Since my PC actually already has very good specs and I also in Minecraft (with Sahder) often FPS drops to 40 FPS (which sometimes also stay down there), I'm surprised. The system is also very well cooled, front 3 fans, one rear and top 2.

What is it? In Battlefront I also had some 200FPS on Ultra Settings some time ago, but not funny anymore (After getting the pc out of the repair, Pc has had to do several benchmarks and runtime tests due to crashes a couple of weeks ago).

What are these FPS Drops / Losses?

First, I would look at the energy-saving mode.

If this is on then the option for maximum performance sounded.

Next you go into the system information and look which graphics processor is displayed.

If there's something else like your video card then you go into the device manager and Seek your Graka which you then activate.

Generally I would look for your motherboard (exact model) on the Internet and on the MANUFACTURER PAGE under Driver an App Center (if available) download which then makes updating your drivers a breeze.

If there's no such driver for your motherboard I would look for your hardware on the internet and install the drivers which are new.

If it still does not work, look in the bios to see if the standard values of your hardware are not equal to the actual specifications.

I already had it with me (also have the 1700 x) that ran the cpu to 1.3 Ghz or the ram was not 3200 Mhz but 2400 Mhz.

And do not worry, you can't break much.

Should be too high a value entered and the PC starts 100 times new then just pc ausschallten and on the motherboard the reset button search and once normal and once long press (do not know if once enough).

Do not be afraid by this, only your own adjusted values will be set to the previous or the default value.

That way you can feel the right value. But I can't think of any more.

I hope very much that I could help you somehow!

It was only in repair, because after 2 months of testing I had no plan, what the mistake was.

By the way, my Mobo is the Asus Prime x470 pro

Power settings are on maximum performance, CPU runs on standard clock, RAM runs on 3200mhz, motherboard drivers (PCI) are up to date, suitable BIOS version is installed for my CPU (I already had some problems with crashes, so I have this version (4806 I think) installed, running on the system now), graphics are of course on my RTX 2070, which is also the only one that is connected, is not a laptop with integrated and external Graka. Graphics drivers are also up to date.

I wanted to overclock my CPU to 3.7 GHz, but had then in idle 50 ° C and in power 76 ° C. I overclocked it to an old system (did I use the same CPU) synonymous to 3.7 GHz and there it was not nearly as hot. At 3.4 GHz, it does not get hotter than 60 ° C under load. Had on the old system, where it ran to 3.7 GHz even ne worse 1 Rafiator Wakü, so it was me.

I have also set the corresponding software in the NVIDIA Control Panel. Hard disks are also all optimized, or HDD is also defragmented. Too little electr. Power can't be synonymous (I have installed a 850W power supply!). I have also installed extra GPU Tweak II for the OC control of the RTX 2070 because I thought that maybe it would be better anyway.

(Btw had already experienced all sorts of things on the PC that no one else has experienced before)

But thanks anyway! I'll try it again.

At best, I would downgrade Windows 10 to a version that is at least a month old because the update had many problems. ^ - ^

Ok, then hopefully an update will come up. I mean, Forza Horizon 4 is doing extremely well
