PC much worse than in summer?

Last summer I put together a not very good gaming PC that was easily enough to e.g. B. Recording gaming videos, but now, even if I'm not recording, I have to gamble for about half an hour in a game like minecraft until it starts to run smoothly. Does anyone know why that is?

Driver probably, and clean your PC. What you can / should do is the following:

Enter in the search bar: "Adjust appearance and performance of Windows" There you click on the point: "Adjust for optimal performance" and then on Apply. In addition, enter in the search bar: "Background apps" and deactivate all background apps. In addition, you can turn off the autostart of programs such as Steam in the Task Manager. That should give you another little boost in performance

There's always something new installed and nothing is cleaned up!

Just imagine a closet in which everything is stuffed. How long does it take to find something again? Long - that's exactly what happens to the PC!

My PC has the following specs:

i5-6500 4x 3.2GHz

Gtx 1060 6GB

Asrock standard motherboard

I used an HDD for my BS up to a week 2n half to 3 years ago and since I now have a SSD or have finally connected everything is much faster. Sporadically clean your PC and remove dust because when the fans are full of dust they no longer run smoothly and run the risk of letting the components burn through the heat in the truest sense of the word.

I recommend partially resetting without deleting data. Before that, write out the programs you need and then reinstall everything you need. It only takes me 1-2 hours and I do it every few months.

The PC is probably full of data garbage, I don't know how you deal with your PC.

I would just make the PC completely flat and good is something like that hardly lasts nowadays.

Thank you very much, I have solved it myself now, I could only use 4 GB of RAM instead of my actual 8 GB, the ram latches a few times and installed and now it is much better again. Nevertheless many thanks!
