I have a video card (GTX 1070) and a Ryzen 7 2700x now my question:
Why do I have "only" 70FPS in Minecraft? I would like more because I have a monitor 144hz.
I have the FPS on Unlimited and Vsync off
You can set the fps limits to unlimited in the graphics setup in Minecraft so that you have as many fps as possible
You can set your Max FPS in the graphics positions 😉
I have them on Unlimited.
Do you have a texture pack or a shader in it?
I also have a GTX 1070 and I eat the shader (SEUS Ultra) the whole FPS.
Depending on mods, shaders and resource pack this is normal. Minecraft is relatively processor-heavy and that is the Ryzen 7 2700 just not quite as strong in it. But it should work with overclocking.
