I've recently started playing Minecraft again (I used to play only Minecraft). And I noticed that I have only 60 fps, which is very little for my PC, because in CS GO, for example, I have 160 fps. So I assume that something in the settings of Minecraft is not quite right. Could this be due to RAM?
Is relatively normal. Minecraft is running on Java. The processor must work at least as much as the graphics card (if not more).
I recommend you to get the mod "Optifine".
https://optifine.net/.../downloads
This will give you an enormous FPS boost, and in addition tons of other graphics settings, such as the expansion of the FOV, "zooming", individual particle effects and more.
This allowed me to increase my FPS from ~ 80 to ~ 140.
I already have Optifine and my graphics card, it can't really lie because I have an ASUS GeForce ROG RTX 2080 Ti matrix
Hi, Minecraft has a lot of too little RAM, be it video RAM or "normal" RAM. What you can still try to change the visibility would be screwed down or disable other graphic-heavy setting.
Important is synonymous with a 60 Hz monitor, of course, then you have VSync. But the question is always what do you want with more FPS if your monitor can't show anymore.
So my monitor has 100 Hz
You do not happen to have G-sync?
I'm not sure about that. I guess so.
Then VSync off and please at least 10 gig Ram assign
Ok, I'll try it in the evening.
10 GB? So much do not even consume a few AAA games
Well you do not know minecraft. My Minecraft even gets a full 25 gig from my 32
As I said in Minecraft rather the processor is important than the graphics card.
Have you already made a few adjustments in Optifine? If you put a few things out of the details and eg "Smooth Lighting", and set "Graphics Settings" to "Fast", this can improve the FPS.
Wv RAM did you assign to the client? At least 4GB I would definitely forgive, more would of course be even better (if you have enough RAM for it). Java is a real ram-swallower.
Oh, and V sync I would turn off
So on the components of my PC, it can't be.
I'll try this setting, like Smooth Lightning and so on.
RAM I think I have assigned 8GB (total 16).
That must be enough.
Other mods do not have you installed, which can possibly pull down the FPS? Or maybe a high-resolution texture pack, shaders etc?
On the other hand, Minecraft is also known to not always reach the best FPS, especially if the Render Distance is set high. 60FPS are already "pretty" fluid.
If you really have this on and your monitor supports it then it can happen in some games that are limited to 60 frames.
had the same problem with Guitar Hero or osu! The only ran on 60 frames. Then I played once in the settings and noticed as soon as I had G-sync off and set fixed refresh rate, the games ran back to normal, the one with 1300 frames and the other with 2100.
I use 6-8 GB, but for big modpacks at least 12-15 are necessary (open at the top)
I know the game certainly better than you and he never consumes more than 1.5 GB.
Then you have never really played with modpacks right? In addition, a short thing. The more memory you have, the more it consumes. This also applies to the VRAM. If you have only 2 GB of VRAM, then he can't really consume more.
I would not pretend to have more clue than others.
I can tell you I'm playing Minecraft in 2010. And with me (with far distance rendering and high quality particle effects and without VSync [165 Hz] etc.) Minecraft always consumes more than just 1.5 GB of RAM.
I have 4GB VRAM and 32GB DDR4 RAM memory.
Sure, if you play Minecraft on a 60 Hz screen, low graphics, no mods and no texture pack, it also takes nothing to RAM properly.
Minecraft uses what it can use. It was tested how much FPS you can get out of Minecraft with a hell machine. Here the link
Modpacks? When did we talk about modpacks?
I meant the vanilla version with maybe a normal texture pack.
Apart from the fact that I can't imagine how a gamer has no "real" mod packs installed when he plays Minecraft (because it's really boring without really, I think), I would like to know what a "normal texture pack" is? XD
How can you get bored without modpacks?
Go and play bedwars or something xD
I could never really win minigames. I'm always someone who is limited to the intentions and "true" features of Minecraft. Dismantling raw materials and building objects of any kind. And here comes Minecraft ever to the limits. Just the fact that the launcher needs some 7-8 minutes to load the game to start some modpacks despite my "equipment" suggests that this is a real "expansion". XD
Hey thanks it was I think s.VSync and I had assigned only 2GB of RAM. VSync now switched off and assigned 8GB and it was enough. I now have 180 fps and that's enough for me to play Minecraft.
Very well. I'm glad that I could help.
