Which processor is better for gaming without a graphics card?

I'm going to build a gaming PC, but I'm dependent on it for the first few months without a graphics card. Since I only play Minecraft and such untroubled titles, this is not a problem for me with an AMD APU with integrated graphics. I researched and came across the Ryzen 5 3400G. Now I wonder if this APU is worse than the Ryzen 5 3600 and if you can play Minecraft with the R5 3600 even though it doesn't have integrated graphics. And if you buy the R5 3400G, can you also upgrade with a graphics card, even though one is already integrated in the APU? So which CPU is better in order to be able to play Minecraft without a graphics card and which one also supports another dedicated graphics card?

Su

Both support a dedicated graphics card. However, the 3600 has no built-in. With this you are dependent on a dedicated graphics card. The 3400G has a small graphics unit installed, that's why the G (for Graphics).

Ha

The Ryzen 5 3600 is obviously better, but without a graphics card it doesn't work because you don't get a picture. So you probably have to take the 3400G

I would save the money and take the 2400g, are almost identical

of course it is worse than the 3600, the 3600 uses a much more modern production and has 2 whole cores more

You can't take a CPU without a graphics unit and then play without a graphics card - then you would have no picture. Upgrading an APU with a graphics card is not a problem at all. Simply plug the cable from the screen of the mainboard into the graphics card.

which is better I have to google for a short time

Ja

Now I wonder if this APU is worse than the Ryzen 5 3600

yes it is, the Ryzen 5 3400G is still based on the previous generation of AMD CPUs in 12nm (practically a somewhat tuned Ryzen 5 2400G) while the R5 3600 on the new Zen 2 architecture in the 7nm manufacturing process. In addition, the 3400G has 2 cores less than the 3600.

and whether you can play Minecraft with the R5 3600, even though it doesn't have integrated graphics.

If you have neither an integrated graphic nor a dedicated graphics card, then not even your PC starts, not to mention Minecraft

And if you buy the R5 3400G, can you also upgrade with a graphics card, even though one is already integrated in the APU?

Without any problems, you just have to remember to connect the monitor to the graphics card.

which CPU is better to play Minecraft without a graphics card

there's no alternative to the 3400G. The integrated graphics are absolutely sufficient for undemanding and older games and the somewhat lower CPU performance is not the end of the world that you have to mourn for.
