My friend has a problem. The 'editions'' button is not there with him. I want to play with him on the old version of minecraft but that's not possible. If anyone has any tips, please answer this question.
So me and my friend are playing on ps4 and either on the latest version OR now on editions (so me) and my friend can't play aif editions because the button is missing
Mojang should find a way to help us fix this problem instead of just sitting back and doing absolutely nothing about it cause I payed for the full game and now my edition tab on the home screen is not there and I cant play online

1 if friend has a portable copy i mean disk 1 open a data safe, then delete 2icons of safed datas, then turn on minecraft and (ytp soundtrack effect) boom
I bought Minecraft on my PS4,(non-disk version) And I was very happy to see that when I downloaded it, it started to download Minecraft PS4 edition. I had then loaded up the game, and there was no "edition" button. And now I'm pissed
It honestly depends on when you bought it. If you had just recently bought it digitally, then that means that you won't get the editions button, as those who owned the PS4 edition before the switch to bedrock are only supposed to get that button. Also, I'm sure that we can make this one of the bugs that they may have to work on, as its happening to me, and I've owned the disk version since 2016.
i had minecraft non disc before it was bedrock but now the edition button isnt here
Its super unfortunate to me as i have been trying to get it back on my main account: i just got PS Plus and im wanting to try to get the editions button back, so that i can get minigame trophies. I've also owned the disk version since 2016 and for a while during the buzy bees update, i had the editions button. I even streamed on old school mc, but now i cant even do that anymore because it isnt letting me see the editions button
You can get back on editions version by simply just deleting Minecraft then taking out the disk then putting it back in and starting it without the update
If your current user on it has it on a Different language than the language you speak on the additions version if you do the steps I use to get it on there simply just switch your user to a different user that wait appears on English and then just do the following steps again to get it to the additions version just so it doesn't force you to updated and then load the game and then you'll have an English additions version
If the language under additions version I tell you to do the steps on on your current user is not English and you speak English all you have to do is 1st switch your user rather just use switch user feature on power or you was log out and then switch your user but if you just which user once you load of world it will make that user join the game even if the controller even if the other controller is not turned on that user so you probably want to log out feature if you don't want it to go to player with the last user Which the game will load Bedrock edition if you don't do the steps I said to get the additions version again Like I said to get it English But then load the game Drawing the steps again and then load the game even though it will A PlayStation 4 edition it's gonna little bit rock edition and tell you do the steps again When you do it there you go It's just please Do not turn off your PS 4 until you're done because I want to turn off your PS 4 and then you wanna play additions version after sometime it will turn to bed rock edition and you'll have to do steps again
If It is not English on your current user just switch your user 2User that you don't really use that way it's English on addition version and then do the following steps to get it additions again and then that will fix it just remember when you turn off your PS 4 even if you haven't switched your user after sometime when you turn back on your PS 4 it will turn the addition version PlayStation 4 edition into bed rock edition
Just remember that if you turn off your PS 4 and then when you return on your pc for after a little bit of time it will switch PlayStation 4 addition to just Minecraft
Remember after time when you turn off your ps4, it will so PlayStation 4 edition but it will update once you load the game after turning off and turning on your ps4
If you previously had the old version and got the online version go into saved data and it should have the new Minecraft saved data. Delete the tiny one with the face and gear icon on it. Don't delete the big one. It fixed it for me. U found this out myself
