Minecraft GPU utilization too low?

I downloaded the latest version of Minecraft today, but my 2070 super is only used to a maximum of 30% and my ryzen 5 3600 to a maximum of 70%. The game is almost unplayable so I have very low FPS 25-60. How do I get more now? My 32GB RAM is also used by a third.

There's no "too low" GPU utilization.
30% just means that the GPU is working 30% of the time and 70% waiting.

What it is waiting for is a completely different topic, it can be anything, i.e. A weak CPU, slow network, full RAM, FPS lock, etc.
As long as there's no specific problem, I would not investigate further.

Well, weak CPU, I wouldn't say it runs at 4200mhz. Slow network also not (10mb / s). Ram can't be full at 32GB. Fps are unlimited, Vsynch too

Minecraft doesn't exactly benefit from a multicore processor. However, I have <100FPS with my Ryzen 1600X & 1070Ti. So it can be said that something is not going well. What did you change in the settings? Do you have a texture pack, or something similar? Installed? Possibly. You could also increase the priority.

The frequency of the CPU says nothing about the actual performance of the CPU, only about how fast it does its work. A CPU with inefficient work processes is still slower than a CPU with more efficient processes.

Minecraft simply isn't consistent with gpu usage and FPS. Minecraft's FPS is absolutely gpu bound, the main problem being that the game can simply choose whether to use 90% of a gpu or 20%. A 3050 can get 800 FPS, a 3060 Ti can get 200, and a 3080 Ti can get 800 FPS all on the same settings. There's no real solution other than using FPS boost mods like Optifine or Sodium, but even then those don't change gpu usage. A late post but I just want to clarify how it really works.
