I've had a very annoying problem for some time…
In my computer there's an I7-6700k, a GTX 1070 from Asus, 16 GB Ram and a matching 600 watt power supply.
However, for a long time (since I bought a 144hz monitor) I have had the problem that games that only need little power, e.g. League of Legends and Minecraft, achieve very little FPS.
So little FPS compared to what others do with poorer systems in places.
In my setup I use 2 144hz monitors and a 60hz monitor, all three resolve in Full HD. However, I only play one game at a time on one monitor, on the third nothing usually runs, so on the 60hz, only the NZXT program for performance monitoring and on the second 144hz mostly Discord and co.
Now for the problems.
In LoL, for example, I run around the area at just 80fps, even though you are bombarded with videos on youtube, where the same or even weaker setups remain well over 200 99% of the time. I often don't even reach 120 fps, let alone 144, but ONLY in games that need less power. In Modern Warfare, for example, I always have around 120, in the worst case just under 100, but never actually under it, although I pretty much have everything there on ultra. How can this be? Why do I have so little FPS in games like LoL or Minecraft when my computer should push performance there without end…
Have I overlooked any settings? I thank you once.
Take a look at, for example, MSI Afterburner how much your components are working. In very underperforming games like Minecraft, your parts may only be 30% full. But that's normal. If not just allocate more RAM to Minecraft, for example
My CPU and GPU are not even running tight at LoL, that's right, both with about 20% load, I thought that it could be, but how do I get them up? So how do I ensure that my card is not bored here? Because others can do it too. (point here to the youtube videos in which you can clearly see that more is possible!)
Look at Windows under energy saving plan or in the NVidia settings Vlt. Did you also activate power saving mode. You can also run a benchmark to test the components if everything is running at 100% there you can write again
I do immediately, can you recommend one to me? Windows energy options are at their best, in modern warfare everything is at 98% of the spin
Then you don't need to run a benchmark. You can see that your components run like in Warzone. As I said with Minecraft, it is normal for some to do better and some to not do as well. Would still recommend installing Optifine. I think that brings something.
Yes in minecraft it is rather small still images over and over again, but the main problem is actually LoL… I mean it can't be that I don't even reach my 144fps in such a game, others with their i3s and ner gtx 1060 but Drive continuously over 200fps with the same settings and resolutions.
I just looked again, I deactivated the DSR in the nvidida driver, i.e. In the system controls, because this has extrapolated my image to over 4k, my fps in mw have also improved again, but my cpu and gpu only run there with 40-60% load. Under cinebench and "heaven" they both get their 100% … I really don't know what to do
With everything on ultra and 8-fold AA, heaven still knocked out 140fps MINIMUM. Rather around 200 and as program, DEFINITV will need more power than LoL…
