I ordered a switch and associated several games ^^
However, I noticed that I only have almost 25 GB of free memory.
I bought overwatch which only leaves me just under 9gb.
Now comes my question:
A buddy told me that all the games on the cartridge are still being downloaded and that they consume a lot of memory.
And if so, 9 GB is enough for
Pokemon Sword, Minecraft, Smash and Animal Crossing?
Some games download additional data because all data does not fit on the cartridge. Most games download updates.
It is not true that games are completely downloaded when you use a cartridge.
If you buy them through Nintendo eShop then not if you want all the games. I recommend buying either an SD card or the rest of them in stores. Mediamarkt Saturn Müller etc. They don't use up a lot of storage space because all the game content is on the game card. Games via Nintendo eShop just consume more memory than games from stores. I know myself that you can only get Overwatch via Nintendo eShop or that you don't have a game card and that you have to download it, but the remaining games are available as game cards
I mean, yes, I ordered the player as a cartridge, do I have to download despite the cartridge?
Your buddy is crazy. There are very few games where that actually applies, like the Spyro trilogy. Otherwise the games are completely on the card. The only things that add are updates and spy booths.
Well, the games are still installed on the switch. Sometimes I have to wait what feels like an eternity before I can actually play.
