Minecraft> 60FPS?

I wanted to play some Minecraft with a friend again, but unfortunately this is really unplayable, although I have a reasonably good PC. Does any of you have any idea why this is going so badly?

PC:
AMD FX 6300 3.5GHz
AMD RX 570 8GB
16GB HyerX DDR3 RAM 1600MHz
240GB Kingston A400 SSD

I mainly play on MC version 1.12.2 with the latest Optifine version installed, also the graphics settings mostly on "Fast" instead of "Fancy".
I also allocated just over 4GB of RAM.

All in all, I get only 40 to 50 FPS, totally annoying when it sometimes goes down to 35 or 30.

In addition, Windows 10 Pro, is still pretty new, have the computer only for about 3 months and I always make sure that not too much on the PC is installed, so the operating system is not, I'm sure.
Games like Smite or GTA 5 I can play super easy on high to highest settings with 80 to 150 FPS.

You should show more ram minecraft is (if you have no shaders) pure CPU-heavy game, Java is still so bad and slow to show more ram the processor is not the best but should pack it and reduce the render distance!

In the driver, you have to think so I set the game at Globals so xD

Windows is generally a talker and the update function always wants to send something to Microsoft. Likewise, the AMD FX CPU is not the fastest.

Unfortunately you also conceal which power supply is installed in your PC (manufacturer model / performance), and which Mainbaord you use.

New can't be the PC if you look at the parts (DDR3 memory, socket AM3+ CPU, etc.). It may well be that someone has given you the gift and you have him in the period in use.

The problem is more on Windows 10 itself. Overall, it eats on your box too much resources and leaves too much in the background run what eats all the power and you yourself is only a little over. That shows up then in gaming.

First, secure everything to private data.

The Mate version is the better one.

Under Downloads -> Documentation -> German you will find everything important about how to install the Linux. Is free and you do not need forced registration or activation like on Windows. This would also give you a bit more performance out of your PC because Linux does not waste as much resources as Windows 10. Minecraft can also be played under Linux. There are enough instructions to show how to install, configure and configure it under various Linux distributions. Also smite or GTA 5 can be used under Wine together with winetricks, Playonlinux and Steam with Linux.

Under Windows, you will not achieve the desired higher performance with the PC system because the problem is with Windoof 10. It uses nothing that you regularly watch out for when the operating system itself is the problem.

If you want higher performance and want to stay with windows 10. Then you have to replace the motherboard, memory, power supply and CPU against other components. So AMD Ryzen CPU, socket AM4 motherboard with B350 / 450 or X370 / 470 chipset .DDR4 memory (16 GB) PC 3000, PC 3200 or higher (note memory list from the manufacturer). Power supply should already be a 550 watt model. All together are minimum 600-800 euro going on. Whether you value it, you have to know it yourself. Either you switch to the Linux distribution (see link) of Linux Mint or you swap out the hardware and pay just the amount again. It's your decision.

It's my opinion, if I were in your situation I would take the step towards Linux. But you have to know yourself what you are doing.

Boy, what are you talking about?

Do not exaggerate. XD.
He does not have to convert to Linux right now just because Minecraft has 20 FPS too little…
Maybe look in the task manager to see how much resources Minecraft uses when it's running. Then you see what the whole thing fails. I'm typing on CPU or Ram. Ram can be assigned more CPU, he would have to retrofit or other processes in the background off. Also check if VSync is running.
