Hide Minecraft for Mac mouse?

So the following problem: With Minecraft it was usually the case that when I start the game, my mouse pointer automatically disappears or becomes the directional pad in the middle. Now the mouse pointer stays there and can be controlled in addition to the directional pad, which is quite annoying. Is there a way to hide the mouse button again? Googled several times but couldn't find anything. (Play as I said on a MacBook)
