Change minecraft to new version?

I'm currently playing on 1.15.2

now i would like to know how i change to 1.16.1.

so it's not a problem in itself.

however, i don't have the new ores in the nether

how can I do it now that I also have the new ores and blocks? But everything old remains there?

Go to the launcher on profiles or something and there you can add a new one but actually you should have the version where you are playing and you can quickly switch back and forth

As you stopped reading, you mean googled on the internet, I've been playing minecraft for 4 years

You have to create a new world if you go into an old one there's the old nether

The ores are not automatically generated when the version is upgraded.

Blocks can only be generated if they have not yet been generated, which means you have to go to the chunks that have not yet been loaded.

Just go where you've never been and then all the 1.16 stuff comes xD

Not sure I didn't play the new versions anymore but I would have to generate my newly generated chunks with the new biomes / orrn

But don't nail it down ^^

Delete the "DIM-1" in the world order, this is the nether, then a completely new nether is generated in the old world. Don't confuse it with "DIM1", that's the end.
