I have built a village, but the villagers I brought in do not stay in this village. Does it matter that the paths are three blocks wide and at right angles? Must a well be available and is it by chance whether the residents stay or not?
If you build your own village then I think the villager net will stay, if you have to make sure that there are beds in the houses
You can't build an artificial village unless you build a fence around it! It's like that from Spiel
I always build with a fence and World Edit ;-)
Villagers stay in their own villages, but in newer versions you can give villagers jobs to follow you. You can also transport them to your village by boat. You have to give them a job and a bed there, or they'll leave. The self-built village should not be in the same chunk as the actual village.
I think that you have to heal a zombie villager for this, he'll stay in the village or you can lure the villagers with bread
