Important plugns are e.g. Essentials, essentials buld, essentitals protect and essentials chat, worldguard, worldedit, Multiverser, a rights plugin like luckperms, bpermisions or pex and a property plugin like Plotsquared or griefprevention. All others are more cosmetic.
The correct configuration of a plugin is important and, above all, no one except the owner may have OP rights, otherwise you have had a server for the longest time.
