Hmm that will not fail because the cpu is simply not complementary to such a gpu and is thus overwhelmed to the maximum. For these games, if I were you, I would think about whether it has to be an rtx 3080 anyway. I personally have a rtx 2080 super oc gaming, with the gamble everything on the highest settings without any problems.

Personally, I only buy a new PC every 5 years, but then go straight back to top hardware, so the top hardware should be sufficient for upcoming games on max settings for about 5 years.
