I'm just on a PC always running (has synonymous dyndns and Hostet already ts, ark and Minecraft Server) installed the Windows built-in ssh server (under optional features) and have in the near future to create a share with it.
Question: do I need a port share in the router? If yes, which ports do I have to enter?
The default ssh port is 22
But I would not do any port scanner checks the 22 port
If you really need that I would redirect the port and see that everything is safe
What do you think? That ssh does not work over port 22?
Otherwise you will be hacked under circumstances. Why do you want SSH at all? Can you, for example, Redirect port 22 to port XY e.g. 8000 or what do I know. Had to test a Raspberry SSH server with an open 22 port within one month, the SSH log file had a few 100MB with login attempts because so many Random IPs scan with the 22 port and then connect try
How do I then do that? In the router I have several fields, 4 pieces, the fourth grayed out, I suppose the first two are the ports that are "outside" so what others access as these fields with a "-" are connected. The other two synonymous, where the second is grayed out and I think that are those who are redirected to the pc (?) So I suppose ssh s.server server port x, then comes in the port share in the router 22-22 xx, where as I said the second X is grayed out. Would that be correct? Is a somewhat newer telecom router, we have swapped last summer due to certain Zipperlein.
Then look for the manual to your router and look there. If you do not have the print anymore, the internet helps. Extern 22 you should put on another haven. Internally 22 can stay.
So I should leave the port at the ssh server config so and the router should take another to the outside
This was described by the telecom only cryptic and deficient but I think I've managed that the router from the port 22 on the client externally another makes the list according to the Wikipedia is not reserved… How can I test the whole?
Yes, a port release you need.
In the router on port release or port forwarding or whatever it may be called in your router.
There then at external port / original port / etc enter an unoccupied random port eg 50889
For IP address, enter the IP address of your PC. It should be noted that you should also assign the PC a fixed IP that does not change.
For internal port / forward to port / etc enter port 22.
If available, add a description or a name that makes the whole thing recognizable to you.
To test, enter your external IP address or your dyndns address and the external port on another device in Putty.

If you get a login then it works
The router model would always be helpful with such questions. There are only a few thousand different models.
Simply connect to the port with an ssh client on your public ip
