Put the copied on a stick?

Although I can copy and paste in minecraft, how can I do it better? I saw a few people packing this on items.

I think what you mean is WorldEdit, that's a mod you need to download. On Youtube there are a lot of tutorials about it:-)

Since the question is a bit inaccurate I unfortunately do not know if you mean Vanilla or plugins. So I'll just give you an answer for both:

Vanilla:

To use different sticks for different structures give them a name and check it.

To insert a structure as soon as the click has been successfully determined
