My PC always freezes after a certain time when I play. I have already tried a lot and am desperate because I have saved years on it!
My parts + freeze times:
parts:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1400
GPU: Paliot GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
RAM: Ballistix Sport 2x4gb (ie 8gb) ddr4
Motherboard: ASUS B350M-E
Freeze times:
Fortnite: after about 20 min
GTA: after 5 min
Heroes and Generals: after 1.5h or 2h
Paladins: never
Minecraft: never
Was Thunder: never
Like the previous speakers, I appreciate that it is overheating. Very common, especially when heavy hardware is not sufficiently cooled.
Download the software "HWMonitor". So you can read the temperatures of the hardware. Here is the link to download at Chip: https://www.chip.de/...69258.html
If the temperatures get too high during the game, the hardware will shut down so as not to break.
I recommend you to invest in a stronger CPU cooler. Are only ~ 50 euro which really pay off.
Download times "coretemp" down and look at the display of the cpu temperature, I think you can also set alerts. There you can see when and how fast the cpu heats up. Otherwise, the graka can also overheat. It is quite classic to (cautiously) clean the fans with the vacuum cleaner when they are standing.
And which power supply has your PC, maybe that is not good anymore? In addition, a bios update still perform.
Power supply is new. Bios update performed recently
The temperature is everything in the frame. That with the fan can't be because my pc is new.
The temperature is everything in the frame. But it may already be lying on the fan. Came in with the cpu
All right, one more thing: Install again the latest driver pact of the Asus B350M-E motherboard: Chipset + SATA + LAN
And one more thing: Do you have windows on a new SSD? What about the old HDD? Do you use these if necessary further as data hard disk? If so: I propose that you delete all partitions on the HDD once (before saving somewhere else) then convert the HDD to GPT and then create new partitions on it.
I also had Freezes in the beginning with Asus Prime B350 Plus, and those two tips helped me out.
With such a processor pays its own fan already.
Do you get for ~ 50 euro already a good part.
I have windows on the HDD. I do not understand anything about the GPT
Do I need the LAN driver? I use a WLAN card
If you still have windows on the HDD, you can ignore my comments above all about SSD / GPT.
The LAN driver, I would install with, because on the motherboard yes, the LAN chip is installed with and provided by Windows, even if you do not use it.
Hm ok thanks
Would you have another suggestion?
